(SACRAMENTO) – In a move that underscores consumer protection, the Assembly Appropriations Committee voted in favor of Senator Richard D. Roth’s legislation, SB 1087. This piece of legislation demands greater accountability and transparency of Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) lenders to cut out abusive practices.

Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside) issued the following statement today in response to Governor Jerry Brown’s State of Emergency Declaration for Riverside County:

“This fast-moving wildfire, the Cranston Fire, has already scorched thousands of acres, forced hundreds of people to flee from their homes and has burned several homes. Its devastation is immense. Governor Brown’s declaration not only recognizes the horrific impact of this wildfire, but also calls necessary attention to evacuation orders.

“The budget brings recognition, respect, and resources to Inland Southern California,” said Senator Richard D.
