Campaign Reform

  • Senate Bill (SB) 280 – Prohibiting Campaign Contributions at State and Local Government Office Buildings
SB 280 will close a loophole in the Political Reform Act of 1974 by prohibiting the delivery or receipt of contributions at legislative district offices and local government offices. This would deter even the appearance or possibility of quid pro quo contributions at legislative district offices and local government offices, and creates a bright line separating the business of government and political campaigns.
