Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside) issued the following statement on his support of Assembly Bills 398 and 617:

AB 398 and AB 617 are bipartisan measures which will help us continue to improve our region and state’s air quality while providing key stakeholders and industries with the flexibility they need to meet our shared clean air goals.

Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside) issued the following statement on the 2017-18 state budget approved by the State Legislature:

“The approved state budget makes critical investments in education, healthcare, our veterans and justice system, and continues a fiscally prudent approach. It ensures our region receives its fair share from Sacramento, and I am proud to have worked with my colleagues on both sides, particularly with Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona), to deliver these important victories for our region and all Californians.”

(SACRAMENTO) – Senate Bill 130, which restores critical funding for the newly incorporated cities of Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Menifee and Wildomar, has been approved by the California State Senate on a bipartisan vote of 34-0.

“For too long, Sacramento has failed to provide our region with its fair share,” said Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside). “There is no reason why these particular cities should be excluded from receiving an equitable share of state revenue which every other California city receives. SB 130 is a critical measure of fairness and equity, and I thank my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for their support and for recognizing how important this funding is for our cities’ residents.”

“For too long, Sacramento has failed to provide Inland Southern California with the resources we deserve.  Though this was a difficult vote, the cost of our region not getting its fair share is too high.  That is why we went to the table to ensure Inland Southern California’s needs are represented with the vigor and dedication they deserve.
