(SACRAMENTO) – Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside) has introduced legislation that will allow California drivers to lead social change. SB 1112 creates a specialized license plate giving Californians the option to replace one of the seven digits on their plate with a hashtag. Funds raised through this specialized plate will go to supportive services at Veterans Housing and Homelessness Prevention programs and No Place Like Home programs.

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside) introduced legislation that assists parents in the fight against human trafficking. SB 1104 will require school districts to work with their middle and high schools to identify the most appropriate ways of sharing human trafficking prevention resources with parents and guardians.

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, the Senate unanimously voted to authorize an additional Justice be appointed to the Second Division of the 4^th Appellate District, which serves the Riverside/San Bernardino region. Senate Bill 38 relieves an overwhelming pressure felt in these counties’ justice systems.
