SACRAMENTO, CA—Senator Richard Roth’s (D-Riverside) Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 3, which urges Congress and the President to give the City of Eastvale its own zip code, has passed both houses of the State Legislature. Currently Eastvale shares a zip code with the City of Jurupa Valley and a zip code with the City of Corona.

Sacramento— Senator Richard D. Roth’s (D-Riverside) historic reform legislation, SB 815 passed the State Senate Wednesday, 32-1.  Roth’s landmark bill revises the State’s Medical Practices Act’s cumbersome processes, empowering patients, adding transparency and sunlight to the Medical Board of California’s (Board) physician oversight and disciplinary process and guaranteeing fiscal solvency.

Sacramento, CA – Tackling an escalating public health emergency, California State Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside) has introduced Senate Bill 641. This bill will significantly reduce the number of opioid overdose deaths by ensuring that all FDA-approved formulations and dosage strengths of naloxone, like Narcan, are made available to schools, local health agencies, law enforcement, first responders and community organizations across California for free.

SACRAMENTO—Legislation by Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside), SB 349, clarifying the law surrounding a defendant’s ability to declare mental competency, consistent with a Court of Appeal ruling, cleared the State Senate’s Public Safety Committee today by a vote of 5-0.
