Sacramento, CA—Fallen Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Isaiah Cordero, who was brutally murdered in December during a routine traffic stop, will have a portion of SR 60 memorialized in his name.

“When faced with danger on that residential street in Jurupa Valley, Deputy Cordero didn’t flinch from his duty to protect the community, he didn’t run away from the danger, he ran into it,” said Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside) a lead author of Senate Concurrent Resolution (SCR) 16 which makes the designation possible.

Riverside, CA—Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside) today issued a Consumer Scam Alert in the aftermath of Hurricane Hilary, warning residents to hire a licensed contractor when making repairs.

“It's an unfortunate fact of life, but every major disaster brings out the scam artists,” said Roth. “With Hurricane Hilary pounding our region, many of us will be looking to repair the damage that was caused. It's important to remember to only hire a licensed contractor”

Riverside, CA— Delivering once again for the region, Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside) has secured, in the 2023-24 state budget, half a million dollars for the Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California.  The monies will fund an electronic archival system, which will document the oral histories of California residents who have made significant impacts on the advancement of civil rights in the region, and to support an enhancement of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in Downtown Riverside planned by the Riverside African American Historical Society.
