WHAT: California State Senate Redistricting Hearing; Senate Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee

WHO: Senate Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee Chair – Senator Sabrina Cervantes
WHY: In California’s efforts to combat a political power grab by President Trump and his Administration in collaboration with the Texas Governor on redistricting, the California Senate Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee will be hearing legislation related to the proposal for mid-decade redistricting.
HOW: All Californians are encouraged to participate in a public input process. Interested constituents can submit public comment on the Senate Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee website under the “Redistricting Public Comment" section.

Sabrina Cervantes is a working mother of triplets and wife who proudly represents the 31st District of the California State Senate, which encompasses the Inland Empire cities of Corona, Eastvale, Fontana, Jurupa Valley, Menifee, Moreno Valley, Perris, Riverside, and San Jacinto, and the unincorporated communities of Coronita, El Cerrito, Good Hope, Highgrove, Home Gardens, Lakeview, Meadowbrook, Mead Valley, Nuevo, and Romoland. She currently serves as Chair of the Senate Committee on Elections & Constitutional Amendments. Cervantes also served as Chair of the California Latino Legislative Caucus from 2022 to 2024.
