IE Business Daily: State grant will help Perris

Perris has received $5.5 million in state funding that it will use to renovate a 20-year-old park and build a fire station. Three million dollars will be used for upgrades at Patriot Park Sports Complex, a 14-acre facility at 525 Murrieta Road, according to a statement. Improvements will include field upgrades, more parking, and better lighting.

The remaining $2.5 million will be used to build South Perris Fire Station 105 at 2495 Murrieta Road, expected top in the spring of 2028.

Sen. Sabrina Cervantes, D-Riverside, arranged the financing.
