Press Enterprise: California School for the Deaf, Riverside, marks football victory with parade

The Monday, Nov. 28, event celebrated the school’s eight-man football team’s California Interscholastic Federation championship win — the first in the school’s 70-year-history.

The parade started near the school on Arlington Avenue and ended at the campus’ administration building, where speeches occurred. Speakers included state Sen Richard Roth, D-Riverside, and his wife, Cindy Roth, the retired president/CEO of the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce. Football players walked down the street near campus, high-fiving students and hoisting a CIF championship plaque for all to see.
