State Sen. Richard Roth asks the Senate to adjourn in memory of former Riverside Councilman Ameal Moore on Thursday.

State lawmakers representing Riverside will attend this morning’s services for former Riverside councilman Ameal Moore.

Moore, who served three terms as the Ward 2 councilman before retiring in 2006, died Monday after a long battle with cancer. He was 78.

Assemblyman Jose Medina, D-Riverside, and state Sen. Richard Roth, D-Riverside will be among those attending today’s services.

Roth asked the Senate to adjourn in Moore’s memory Thursday. Medina will do the same in the Assembly on Monday.
