Senator Richard Roth

Dear Friend,

Senior citizens continuously have to defend themselves against scams that would strip them of their financial security and peace of mind. New scams are constantly developed, and it's been reported that one in five seniors has been a victim of fraud.

That's why I am happy to host a free Senior Scam Stopper seminar in conjunction with the Contractors State License Board this Friday, February 27, from 6pm to 7:30pm at Country Village, 10250 Country Club Drive, Jurupa Valley, CA 91752.

Representatives of the Contractors State License Board, Riverside's C.A.R.E. (Curtailing Abuse Related to the Elderly) program and California Health Advocates will be present to discuss numerous issues, including how to protect yourself against consumer crimes targeted specifically at seniors and Medicare fraud.

I hope you will be able to join us and learn how to better protect yourself and the seniors in your life. Seniors, their families and caregivers are welcome to attend. The seminar is free, but space is limited so please RSVP by calling my district office at (951) 680-6750 or by emailing Country Village at tbierman@beaconpm.com.

As always, it is an honor to serve you.

Respectfully,

Richard D. Roth
Senator, 31st District
