Senator Roth Statement on the Passing of Mr. Jesus Cardenas

Senator Richard D. Roth expressed his sadness on the passing of Jesus Cardenas, founder of Cardenas Markets which has grown as a chain of supermarkets to San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, Imperial Counties and Las Vegas.
 
Senator Roth said, “I salute Mr. Cardenas’ hard work and commitment to his family and his community.  Mr. Cardenas was an important and influential business leader in Southern California. I know I speak for many in expressing our community’s deepest condolences to the Cardenas family.”
 
Senator Roth continued, “Mr. Cardenas lived the American Dream, starting a small farm in Corona and growing his enterprise into a regional business employing more than 3000 people.  He was an inspiration to many small businesses.”
